Having done a food shop with the assistance of the lovely William, I went home packed my suitcase and a selection of thermos cups and lunchboxes for the crew. I have never felt
like such a mum on a set and I loved my bratty I mean delightful children so much. What's the most important thing about the first shoot day? whatever you said you're probably wrong, it's the road trip playlist. We were already up reasonably bright and early so we needed to boost morale so the playlist that Will and I had prepped the day before was just the ticket. (you can listen to the 'Bird Bois' playlist on the left).
The next step was getting us all some very bad for you junk food that we don't regularly get to eat (we'd all agreed the night before to leave earlier to accommodate for this, it was a great debate more sleep Vs food, food won) and snacks to tide us over for the ferry journey.
After an arduous ferry journey including a nap for director Will, we arrived on the island taking a quick pit stop along the way to Kay's house to try and get a wider establishing shot from a high point on the island however as you can see from the clip below it was beginning to rain, which started to get pretty heavy so we decided to just head to Kay's a little early.
Upon arrival, we focused on getting B-roll as Rory was having some issues with the sound kit. We discovered that we were missing the headphone converter jack so after we wrapped at Kays; Robyn, Will and I drove to the next town along to get the last few food bits we needed and we went into carphone warehouse to hunt around for this adaptor. We eventually found one within a set of headphones so thankfully we were able to record with sound the

following day. After returning home, my next task was dinner especially as the boys had started sneaking kitkats from the kitchen. With a little help chopping and prepping from the crew we made pizza's from scratch, including the dough because we are master chefs, but whilst we're master chefs we're also dumb because we forgot to get any photos of the food. Dinner all made footage all transferred from varying cameras to varying hardrives, I sent everyone to bed to get rested up as we had an early start the next day. Before I went to bed I had to rearrange the schedule because I had a message from Ryan in the afternoon telling me he was no longer coming to the shoot which meant I had to re-jig the A and B-team's so that I wasn't off filming B-roll around the island on my own. Once the schedule was adjusted I then prepped everyones packed lunches, I had already taken everyone's orders so I knew what sandwiches they wanted and I packed these up with fruit, kitkats and crisps to keep everyone going and then after a shower around 1 / 2 am it was time for me to get to bed.
